Miriam and Ronan met as students in the Gaeltacht in the summer of 2004. Twelve years on they got engaged and last summer they said their vows at a beautiful, happy summer wedding ceremony in St James Church Bushypark, Galway. And chose Ashford Castle for their wedding venue. A beautiful part of the country for what would be an absolutely beautiful day. After the ceremony, Miriam and Ronan had arranged for an ice-cream van to be waiting outside for their guests to enjoy on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.

We did our photoshoot in the gorgeous village of Cong, Co. Mayo before heading up to Ashford Castle for the reception. Wonderful details and mementos of Miriam and Ronan’s life together were speckled around the venue. The night was topped off with a surprise firework show, which was a wonderful first for us at Luminaire Weddings!
