Ballymagarvey Village Wedding – Hannah & Gearoid

Hannah exchanged wedding vows with her husband Gearoid in February of this year in Newbridge. Their initial encounter took place during their involvement in a musical theatre production which Hannah humorously acknowledged as lacking romantic connotations. According to her, “His brother served as our Musical Director that year and persuaded him to attend a rehearsal, just to gauge his interest in joining us for the production. The rest, as they say, is history!”

Amid the waning of Covid-19 restrictions, Gearoid seized the opportunity to propose to Hannah. The couple retreated to a tranquil cottage in Athy, where, while preparing a roast dinner, he chose the moment to ask for her hand in marriage.

Music played a pivotal role throughout the occasion, a testament to their active involvement in the local musical society. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Dominican College Church in Newbridge, where Hannah had attended secondary school, while the reception unfolded at the breathtaking Ballymagarvey Village in Meath. Gearoid was accompanied by his two brothers as groomsmen, while Hannah’s brother and her three best friends from school filled the roles of bridesmaids.

The couple’s shared passion for music was evident during the church ceremony, as they are active members of the local musical society and also participate in a choir.

Ballymagarvey Village proved yet again to be an incredible wedding venue, and Hannah and Gearoid wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable setting.
