Since the marriage referendum I had been waiting patiently for the day I could film a same sex marriage in Ireland and last October that day came at Clonabreany House where Marion and Joanne tied the knot. From the moment I arrived, excitement was in the air!

The wedding took place all on the grounds of the venue which was fantastic. It helps everyone feel more relaxed when they can get ready there and not have to worry about making their way anywhere else on time!

There’s a gorgeous little barn style building that’s used at Clonabreany, that they call The Orchard Room, which I just love the style of. A lot of Marion and Joanne’s own personalities went into the day. When I first found Marion, she was running around decorating for the reception!

The ceremony was a lovely humanist ceremony and everyone was so happy to be there for the I do’s. There was even confetti for when they walked down the aisle. (I love confetti). Afterwards, my self and photgrapher Gareth McGaughey stole the newlyweds away for a quick photoshoot on the grounds. Our shoot was very relaxed and our couple were so relaxed with the cameras around it was a breeze to get some beautiful imagery.

Filming with Marion and Joanne was awesome and I was delighted to be their videographer on their wedding day.
