We started the day in Katie’s family home in Knocklyon, Dublin. Getting ready with her bridesmaids, mum & dad (who almost got my camera popping the bottle of bubbly!). Once the dress was on, the gorgeous wedding car arrived and we headed to the ceremony taking place in Rathfarnham, where we met Brian nervously anticipating Katie’s arrival. The ceremony was lovely and simple with a nice exchange of vows in front of Brian and Katie’s friends and families.

Once the ceremony was done, everyone headed down to the scenic Tinakilly House in Wicklow. It was my first time shooting at this venue but I knew it well having grown up nearby! It was quite nice in a way to return to a familiar setting in a new capacity as a wedding filmmaker. Tinakilly had an awesome reception waiting for Kate and Brian, champagne, red carpet, and in the reception room was the super cool brass band playing some great music. Brian and Katie even had an impromptu afternoon first dance on their arrival.

Myself and photographer Mark managed to pull the newlyweds away fromt eh fun for just a couple of minutes and we had a private photo shoot on the grounds of the venue. Tinakilly is a fabulous place for really good and unique imagery. There’s so many spots to hide away among the trees to capture beautilful imntimate moments.

Filming with Brian and Katie was a pleasure and I was delighted to be their videographer on their wedding day.
